An engaging after-school program where students learn strategy, critical thinking, and sportsmanship through chess. Our club welcomes all skill levels, from beginners learning the pieces to advanced players mastering complex tactics.

# After School Chess Program Booking Policy Thank you for choosing Pushing Pawns! Our goal is to provide a safe, organized, and enriching chess program for every student. Please review our booking policies before registering. ## Registration * Registration is completed on a first come, first served basis. * A student's space is not guaranteed until registration and payment have been completed. * Enrollment may close once a program reaches capacity. * Students may be placed on a waitlist if a program is full. ## Program Schedule Our After School Chess Program operates throughout the school year on **Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays** from **school dismissal (2:30 PM) until 4:30 PM**, following the participating school's academic calendar. ## Attendance Regular attendance is encouraged to help students build confidence, improve their chess skills, and stay engaged with the curriculum. If your child will be absent, please notify us as soon as possible. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or make-up sessions unless otherwise approved by Pushing Pawns. ## Student Pick-Up Students must be picked up promptly at the scheduled dismissal time. Parents or authorized guardians are responsible for ensuring timely pick-up. If someone other than a parent or guardian will be picking up a student, please notify us in advance. ## Program Changes Pushing Pawns reserves the right to adjust instructors, class sizes, schedules, locations, or curriculum when necessary to ensure the best experience for students. Families will be notified of any significant program changes. ## School Closures Classes will not be held on days when school is officially closed, including holidays, scheduled breaks, weather closures, or emergency closures, unless otherwise communicated. ## Behavior Expectations We strive to create a respectful, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Students are expected to: * Treat fellow students, coaches, and school staff with respect. * Follow instructor and school directions. * Care for chess equipment and school property. * Demonstrate good sportsmanship during lessons and games. Repeated disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in dismissal from the program without a refund. ## Health & Safety Parents and guardians are responsible for informing Pushing Pawns of any medical conditions, allergies, emergency contacts, or accommodations that may affect their child's participation. ## Communication Program updates, reminder
